 Pig Sea
We’ve chatted about our game a lot, so let’s get into our setting a bit, and see the world of Ruttigers.

We’ll start with the Pig Sea!

The Pig Sea sits above the Duchy of Eels like a dark cauldron of roiling foetid beasts. Some say the briny waters are cursed, and its massive sea creatures a remnant of the savage first age…

… But this region is not often studied by sages, it’s where pig whalers hunt.

Sea Pigs are behemoths, often twice the length of a good ship’s keel. Sailors risk their lives on the choppy waters, harpoons in hand, in hopes of dragging one of the corpulent porcine beasts back to the port of Skiff, where their fat will be rendered to make Pig Oil.

Ghul Ilkhir might be called a port, but it’s better described as an eels nest, writhing with Ilkhir Orc whalers with moray teeth.

These seafaring Orhuk take to the Pig Sea in strapped together wooden rafts, with long spears at the ready to stab at any prey they can skewer.

The rickety port of Riven lay on the ragged north edge of the Pig Sea, a den of pirates and freebooters more interested in carousing and plundering the merchant ships of Rhoringhad than in fishing…. But even this nest of debauchery and theft holds not a candle to Sinner’s End.

Sinner’s End is a festering nest of thieves, scoundrels & wanted fugitives.

The town itself is built on a spire of rock overhanging the Pig Sea, and can only be accessed by a chain & plank bridge, or the ratty harbour below. Its buildings are dilapidated and alleyways deadly.

More soon!
